With this first blog post on SEMPO Global Search Blog I feel like cutting a red ribbon for a big opening, or maybe even like breaking a bottle of champagne before starting sliding a brand new boat into the sea.
Beside the metaphoric sentence, this first blog post for SEMPO truly gets me excited - this is the beginning of a very cool adventure for the historic SEMPO Global Committee, or SEMPO Global, as we friendly call our group.
At SEMPO Global, which I proudly Co-Chair since two years now, we have always been serving the organization internally, supporting SEMPO members worldwide to launch local SEMPO Working Groups around the world, or supporting other groups within SEMPO (from our Marketing and Education Committees to the Board of Directors) when it comes to International and global topics.
Recently we felt the urge to start serving also the search marketing industry at large, so we thought about creating this Global Search Blog, an online space where we can share our global search knowledge and experience through local voices, the voice of our members from around the world, all leading search marketing experts in their respective fields/countries. And of course we expect to receive comments and feedback to our posts from more search marketers around the world!

More and more bloggers/authors will be added soon, but we feel like we can consider ourselves "pretty global", right? Also, besides of all our authors, we will be providing with this blog access to all SEMPO blogs worldwide, and to some of the most respected and authoritative blog voices in the search space - all through our brand new RSS aggregator, that showcases in our homepage all the latest posts in both sections.
To complete the overview on the content you can expect from SEMPO Global Search Blog, we invite you to follow our editorial columns too - every week or two we will publish interviews and conversations with some of the most influent people in the search indistry worldwide.
The overview on our blog wouldn't be complete without kudos to all those who got involved in this project, and made it happen: the Blog Task Force at the Global Committee, all our bloggers/authors, the search experts who contribute to our editorial section, and of course all our readership. A very special thank you goes to Ataxo team, a very active volunteer within our organization, who also gifted our group with their time, technology and skills, designing, programming, and hosting/managing our blog.
