Twitter already have many Japanese users, and the users can Twit in Japanese characters, but with this official Twitter Japan site, they are hoping to gain more users in Japan.

Twitter Japan will show the advertising above the profile box. Toyota and several advertisers have tried the banner ads on Twitter Japan so far. Twitter and their Japanese ad partner, Digital garage group, are planning more ad products such as a tool implementing a Google map.
