With this post we officially start the SMX London 2007 Interviews series, a number of blog posts with video interviews to speakers, exhibitors and organizers of the SMX London event, to be broadcasted from this blog.
With today’s post I introduce to you to Sara Andersson, Chair of SEMPO Scandinavia , but also one of our bloggers here at the SEMPO Global Search Blog – she has not started blogging yet, but I assume she will start publishing from Sweden soon.
In this video interview, shot during the crowded and noisy SEMPO Networking event at the end of day 1 of the London show (sorry for the background noise), Sara start talking about the initiatives of the Scandinavian Working Group she Chairs, reporting that SEMPO Scandinavia has planned a few search events in Stockholm in 2008.
The new format for the SEMPO Scandinavia events is pretty smart: one search engine sponsors each event, that features speakers from company/client side only, and a moderator from the sponsoring search engine. The first event of the series will be next January, in partnership with Yahoo!, while Google will be the hosting partner of the following event, scheduled for April 2008. More events will follow soon.
Sara also shares with us her thoughts on SMX Stockholm, the very first inaugural show for SMX in Europe. The Stockholm conference took place last October 31 and November 1. Sara reported SMX Stockholm 2007 as a great success, with great speakers (including Matt Cutts from Google) and everybody is looking forward for the show to return to Sweden in 2008.
Watch the video interview to catch all the details from Sara Andersson. Look forward for next interviews to be posted next week or, in the meanwhile, preview the entire SMX London Interview series at the new SEMPO video space on YouTube.
