SEMPO Search Trends and Metrics Survey

Massimo Burgio | | SEMPO | Industry Research | International | Search Engine Marketing | Search Strategies | Search Trends | Web Analytics

Search marketing is a fast-growing sector of the online marketing world, but it is a new enough strategy that there exists to date relatively little public research about how big and effective this strategy is.

SEMPO's Trend and Metrics Survey aims to be the most comprehensive study of search marketing yet undertaken - as such, we realize it is a rather lengthy survey. The exact number of questions varies by respondent, as several of the questions "branch" and "skip" depending on your answers (meaning you may get follow-up questions if you answer A instead of B to a given question).

Please complete this survey only if you are familiar with, and actively engaged in, at least one type of the search engine marketing practices described in the "Survey Definitions" section below. That includes people engaged in such programs in the capacity as advertisers (including both marketing staff and management), site managers, marketing agencies and search engine marketing service providers.

The survey is open to the whole search industry and not just to SEMPO members. Search engine marketing technology providers who sell only software or pure technology services are probably not well suited for this survey, unless they also act as agencies or use search engine marketing strategies to promote their own businesses. Academics, students, researchers, consultants and others who may be tempted to take this survey for curiosity sake are discouraged from doing so, as it may cloud the accuracy of results.

Do you fit the respondent profile? Are you ready for it? We estimate it will take most respondents 10-15 minutes to complete.
