More than 200 people join the conferences, since last Wednesday 5th thru Friday 7th. The first sessions were about “Productivity 2.0” by Juan Pablo Lanteri (Argentina) and “Today’s Web” by Christian Van Der Henst (speaker at SES Latino Events) in which both emphasizes the importance to be joining the social media groups.

The next day, Mauricio Romero explained everything about online security including a brief explanation of the most common virus and spy wares online. Then, Pablo Rigazzi (Argentina) showed the best online tools for webmasters, focusing on web designers and programmers.

At the afternoon Ricardo Azurdia (Guatemala), talked about how to improve our website to generate more ROI. Juan Pablo Lanteri explained how Latin America still be a “kid” on the online projects but having a great potential to grow up in the near future.

Christian Van Der Henst talked about how people can make profits online, showing his own example handling the biggest community online for webmasters in Spanish. He called some people from the audience –including me- to talk more about some specific online projects and how they are doing today.

The last day Juan Pablo Lanteri structured a workshop with the audience, creating and developing an online project called “Guatemala Joven” in were some investors offers $3000 USD to start (starting at $50).

It was a great experience to me attends this event. I believe Guatemala is going to be the main country on this kind of events for Latinos in Latin-American -which are really poor on this area of the world-. Congratulations to Prensa Libre and Carla Larios for the effort! I hope to see you next year.
