Google is continuing to expand support for the global search community. Today, Google announced web master support for Hebrew, Turkish and Hungarian languages. This is in addition to Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish already in place. Google Webmaster links.
If you are an SEO person, you already subscribe to, or go to the blog (at least you should. If you are a paid search person, I highly recommend that you subscribe. There are a few reasons for this:
1) Professional development. You will learn a lot just by keeping up to date on the broad concepts. You don't need to delve deep into a subject to add value to your development. By understanding what the top webmaster issues are, you are prepared to make decision about where you go next in your career. You may learn that webmaster issues frequently touch on an area that interests you, like copy writing, or analytics, or design. These are all part of the package and they may come up in a combination that you did not know existed.
2) No, or at least fewer, surprises. When I am with a client, or talking to folks internally, I cringe when I hear a sentence start with "Did you know....?". Invariably, someone saw something on Google, and as the "Search Guy," I'd better have seen it first. Google Webmaster Central gives you a head start on the clients.
3)Search is an ecosystem. Whether it is the Google Tool Bar, Universal, Personal, Paid search, paid links, etc, the landscape from a consumer perspective is all one. In order to know how your ads will be perceived, you should have a strong grasp on the experience from the consumers' view.
With the additional Webmaster support, Google provides marketers more and better options for keeping pace with the global search environment.
