Google TV Ads: are you ready to bid on TV airtime?

Massimo Burgio | | Google | International | Paid Search | Search Engines

This Google TV Ads promotional video comes from the official Google Channel on YouTube, but more info can be certainly found at the Google TV Ads sign in page.

The platform, presented by Google as an “all digital, end-to-end platform for buying, measuring, and delivering television advertising”, has been already around for more than six months in Beta version, announced by a Google press release from last April 2007.

Last weekend the NY Times published a very long article to announce the new Google TV Ads solution (which is integrated in the AdWords platform), giving a full overview on the evolution of Google, from Stanford to Madison Avenue. I like Google CEO Eric Schmidt’s closing statement for the interview, when he says to the NY Times that "We are in the really boring part of the business, the boring big business”.

How is this new Google advertising tool going to impact the offer of search / advertising agencies and media centers? Are you ready for the next wave of bid advertising? Please share your opinions and comments below.
